AI in Procurement  /  Course

Commercial GenAI for Public Sector Procurement

A five-module certificate course for federal, state, and local procurement professionals — how to use ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Copilot in daily procurement work without putting your data, your file, or your judgment at risk.

Format  Online, self-paced Levels  Federal · State · Local Duration  12–15 hours Status  Module 1 available now

Overview

Generative AI is moving into acquisition faster than the guidance can keep up. Most AI training written for government is about enterprise systems — procuring AI platforms, building business cases, standing up organization-wide programs. Useful work, but not the work in front of a contracting officer with a market research memo due Thursday.

This course is about the tools already on your screen, used safely, inside the constraints you already have. Data classification before you paste. Documentation that survives a records request. Verification before anything reaches a signature block. No hype, no doom — what you need to use these tools well and defend how you used them.

AI assists. Humans decide.
Jurisdiction

The rules are not the same at every level. The course is built that way.

Most AI training for public procurement is federal training with the labels changed. This is not. Every video is marked universal or jurisdiction-specific, so you complete what governs your role and skip what does not.

01 // Federal

The FAR and the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul, the FAR Companion, Practitioner Albums, Strategic Acquisition Guidance. Controlled unclassified information. Source selection sensitive material. FOIA and NARA retention.

02 // State

State procurement codes and how to find yours. State public records acts. State ethics codes and gift restrictions. Cooperative purchasing and state contract vehicles. A directory covering all fifty states.

03 // Local

Local ordinances and the state law above them. Home rule charter provisions. County, municipal, school district, and special district differences. Written for offices where one person covers the whole lifecycle.

The course

Five modules, 32 videos, 12–15 hours, plus a capstone. Modules publish when they are finished and verified against current regulation, and are sold separately while the course is in release.
